PC gamers will not be able to play GTA 6

PC gamers will not get to play GTA 6 right away, as confirmed by Rockstar in the latest interview published on IGN. Of course, “not” here is understood to mean that initially, GTA 6 will only be released on consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X/S). Several years after the console version, PC gamers will be allowed to experience GTA 6 on their computers.

Looking back at history, it can be seen that this is nothing new. Previous versions of GTA have always prioritized console platforms. For example, GTA 5 was first released in 2013 on PlayStation and Xbox. It wasn’t until 2015 (2 years after the initial release) that GTA 5 appeared on PC. GTA 6 will likely follow a similar timeline. This means PC gamers will have to wait for a solid 2 years before they can get their hands on the masterpiece.

Another noteworthy piece of information is that the release of GTA 6 will coincide with the launch of the PS5 Pro. This move by Rockstar will boost sales of both GTA 6 and the PS5 Pro.

According to what Rockstar has revealed, the process of developing a new game often involves gathering feedback from previous games, observing player behavior, and integrating new technologies and design concepts. Therefore, GTA 6’s development is likely to focus on the successes and challenges of both GTA Online and Red Dead Redemption 2 (Rockstar’s two most popular products to date).
